1. Pilsner Urquell Brewery Tour
The brewery is located in the Old Town, a one-minute walk from the New Bridge and across from the Malše (Market) square. It is open all year round, except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. The brewery tour lasts about half an hour, during which you learn about the history of beer in Plzeň and various aspects of brewing. The tour ends with a tasting session in the beer room, where you get to sample different types of beer made by Pilsner Urquell.
2. Petřínská rozhledna (Petřín Tower)
The Petřínská rozhledna (Petřín Tower) is located in the part of Plzeň called Západní město (Western Town) and was constructed between 1891 and 1894 by the architect Jan Kotěra as a memorial to Emperor Franz Joseph I. The tower is 70 meters tall, and at the highest point of its viewing platform, there are 360-degree views of the city and its surroundings.
3. DinoPark Plzen
DinoPark Plzeň is located in Městská čtvrť Čolínova (District of Olšany ) and has a collection of dinosaur skeletons from the Jurassic period and a variety of other prehistoric animals, such as mammoths, elephants, and unicorns. There are also plenty of walking trails through the park with information about the various animals.
4. Puppet Museum (Muzeum Loutek)
The Puppet Museum is located in the part of Plzeň called Západní město (Western Town) and was established in 1968 as the second museum of its kind in the Czech Republic. There are different exhibitions on display during the year which show puppets belonging to Czech and international artists.
