There are quite a few towns in the United States with the name of Parkersburg, but none quite compare to the small manufacturing town in West Virginia.

Location and Historical Attractions

Parkersburg, West Virginia, is a small city bordering the Ohio River. The small-town population is just over 30,000 year-round residents. Tourists who visit Parkersburg enjoy touring popular historical sites like Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park, Henderson Hall, and Fort Boreman Park. We also know the area for its WineTree Vineyards and the Oil and Gas Museum.

The Parkersburg Art Center is another local attraction that draws visitors year-round. Fun outdoor recreational activities in the area include birding, biking, horseback riding, and hiking the trails of one of the many state parks in the area.

    I bet you have never been to Medina N Y we are the little big apple we have a very varied history. The Erie Canal. The only culvert under it , a church in the middle of the road have been home to Heinz ketchup and Fisher Price Toys come see ussoon

    As a West Virginia native (I retired from the Army in Louisiana) I can attest to the weather in Parkersburg. Flooding is not uncommon but it is one pretty little slice of “Almost Heavan” WV
