Thanks I absolutely love the Great NW I lived in Seattle for 13 years. I’m now back in the South Virginia.
I lived downtown Olympia for 3 years a s I saw a lot of homelessness. I was one block from the capitol building and the Fleetwood apartments which were a big problem for drugs, especially crystal meth. My car was broken into several times and my convertible mustang top was cut by thieves. I do not recommend living downtown near the greyhound station and the fleetwood, it’s not a safe place. During the day, the marina is a nice place to visit and I miss the kfc on the waterfront as it was one of the nicest I’ve been too. I lived in Seattle for 33 year and Olympia would not be my choice of a place to live again, maybe just visit.
The fleetwood is a homeless apartment complex subsidized by section 8 program.
