Nashville is the capital of the state of Tennessee in the USA. Also known as “Music City,” it is famous for its country music. The city is home to the Grand Ole Opry, the stage that has been showcasing country music for almost a century. But there’s so much more to Nashville than just music.
- Nashville’s people are so friendly and welcoming that you’ll never want to leave. It’s been said that Nashville is the embodiment of Southern hospitality.
- The South is also known as the Bible Belt. It is no wonder then that Nashville has over 700 churches.
- The street art in Nashville is amazing. Murals are everywhere, and visitors come from all over to see them.
- Tennessee has its own Whiskey Trail, and a few of the stops are in Nashville. Do a tour of some of these distilleries and enjoy a tasting while you’re there.
- Visit Marathon Village and enjoy a unique shopping experience in the repurposed Marathon Motors factory buildings. Here you’ll also find the Marathon Motor Works museum, located in the original MMW showroom, where they showcase five of the remaining eight Marathon vehicles.
- The Cumberland River runs through Nashville. Take a walk through Riverfront Park and then across the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. At 3,150 feet (960 m), it is one of the longest pedestrian bridges in the world.
- Be sure to visit some of Nashville’s interesting museums, but also check out The Parthenon, a full-scale replica of the Greek Parthenon located in Centennial Park.

Fun stuff. Keep it coming. I am fast approaching being homebound, and love hearing about places I’ve never been. My main travel goal is to see Vancouver before it becomes no longer possible for me. So if you could recommend some interesting sites….
I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet smart so I’m not 100 positive. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
