Mogi das Cruzes is a city in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The city is on a high plateau, where the elevation ranges from 1,600 to 3,200m above sea level. It is in the southern part of Sao Paulo, where it takes less than an hour to get from downtown.

Mogi das Cruzes has many historic buildings and is almost synonymous with Carnival, which runs annually in February every year. The population of Mogi das Cruzes was approximately 450,785 people in 2020.
